Overview

I recently became a big fan of Zetamac, which is the mental math game that quant people often encounter during interviews. I got kind of addicted and I wanted to create a way to track my progress, which the original website doesn't allow. I used a Google Sheet for a while, but this got really tedious, so I decided to create a site that could track my progress as well as give me targetted practice for my weakest numbers and operations.

How It Works

It's a web app that allows you to play with the same settings as the original Zetamac, but automatically tracks your score and saves it (if you sign in). There's a results screen that breaks down every single question by time and mistakes at the end of each game, and a practice mode that uses your history to figure out which kinds of problems are slowing you down and drills you on them.

Results

The app helped me track my progress and increase my score from 28 my first ever time to 67 (which is a competitive score). I also got a lot of positive feedback from friends who used it and found it useful for their own practice.
